What is the difference between meta Keywords and meta Descriptions?

Meta keywords and meta descriptions are two distinct types of meta data. All of those are being used to inform the search engine of the page’s existence, but they accomplish the same goal in slightly different ways.

Meta Keywords and Meta Descriptions

Page/Document Title

The first thing people see when they search for your website. Every page should have a different version of this.

Focus on a maximum of 70 characters for each keyword.
For instance: weddings, wedding flowers, Bella blooms for weddings

This is a complete sentence that tells search engines and visitors alike what the page is about.

Maximum character count is 160 for two keywords.
Weddings Flowers – Find a wedding florist in your area. Find out what other people think about the flowers for weddings.

Secondly, the H1 Tag.

There are six h1 tags on a page, which are the largest HTML headings.

Keep usage of the primary keyword to one page.
An illustration of this would be a website’s h1>Wedding Bouquets/h1> bouquet page.

All the content

When an image cannot be displayed, this feature provides an alternative text.

The primary keyword for the destination should be displayed on each image.

This is an example of “Bella Blooms” being used across the site for the Bella Flowers company logo.

Meta Keywords:

The keywords that you’re targeting on a certain page are known as meta keywords.

Before, you could enter keywords in the meta keyword tag to let search engines know what your site was about.
Google has rendered this tag pointless, though. That tag is entirely ignored by Google.

Meta Keywords: This serves as your meta description.

For a given page, the keywords that you’re trying to target using meta keywords.

Meta description:

A brief description of your web page that displays on SERPs and is the greatest way to enhance your conversions since search engines analyze what you have written first and only then will they display your page.

In order to increase your conversions, your meta description is a short description of your web page that appears on the SERP, so it plays the best role because what you have written, search engine will check that first and show results to people, and people will read that first and click on it and visit your website.

There is a 150-character meta description element that describes the page.

For ranking reasons, Google does not utilise it, however it often appears in the search results below the linkable title.
