Texas Education Department

The United States Department of Education serves as the ministry of education for the US. It is responsible for the formulation of education policy for the country. The Education Secretary, approximately 4 million people are in the education department of the US.

Within the national level of the Department of Education, there exist five main sections namely: (a) the Office of the Secretary; (b) the National Governor’s Association; (c) the Council of Higher Education Accreditation Council; (d) the Council of Higher Education Practice; and (e) the Council of Universities. All the above-mentioned heads cooperate to promote excellence in education in the United States.

All the above-mentioned bodies have the responsibility of approving or rejecting, in whole or in part, the application for federal grants, loans, or other financial assistance. All the aforementioned heads have a common aim in promoting higher education, career training, and civic awareness through the policies and initiatives taken by them. Some of these policies are mentioned below:
