Google obviously loves this on-page SEO setup, because my posts and articles get ranked on page 1 quickly for many of the keywords.

It appears in both the title and the description. With each new post and article I publish, my blog’s traffic grows. Your blog traffic will increase as well if you take the extra few minutes to ensure that the meta description on-page SEO is done correctly.

You’ll need a thorough comprehension of every on-page SEO advice I’ll be sharing in this top SEO tips series to understand this explanation regarding meta description configuration.

Part Two Tutorial Explanation Of Meta Description

When I create a post or article title, I know that my title will end up in the first position on my main URL title.

Because the title is the most significant part of the page, it should include keyword phrases that drive traffic and are easy to rank. You may learn more about it in my other On-Page SEO advice articles.

The next step … I make sure the title of my post or article is the first set of words in the meta description, and then I will add the next most important keywords in a way that makes the description readable.

Setting up your meta description is that simple. It’s not rocket science.

Keep Your Meta Description Short

Don’t spend all day trying to write a long paragraph for your meta description. Your meta description should be nothing more than three lines of text with the simplest explanation and all of your main keyword phrases added.

Do Not Spam Your Meta Description

I’ve seen meta descriptions stuffed with the same keywords over and over again, and the descriptions aren’t understandable by humans or search engines.

Google does not like spam and will not rank your page if you just add the same keywords over and over. Google also just claimed to be cracking down more on spam like this.

If you follow the On-Page SEO rules, your blog posts and article pages will get ranked quicker and will have more staying power.
