A new documentary about Biffy Clyro, titled “Biffy Clyro: Cultural Sons of Scotland,” will be produced in conjunction with Amazon Music.
Fans of the Scottish rock band Kilmarnock, who formed in Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire, can look forward to “unprecedented access to the band” in a feature film that follows the band as they record their ninth studio album, “The Myth of the Happily Ever After.”
According to a press release, “the band’s ups and downs and their newfound approach to their creativity” will be documented in the film.
In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Simon Neil and company returned to Ayrshire to create the sequel to 2020’s ‘A Celebration of Endings.’
A sold-out outdoor show at Glasgow Green marked the ‘Many of Horrors’ group’s return to the stage after nearly two years away from the stage in their native country.
“In the same part of the world as I wrote my very first song is where we’re making this record, and there’s something really pure about that,” the band’s frontman Simon said.
When asked what keeps his heart beating, drummer Ben Johnston said, “We don’t need all the bells and whistles for us to be fulfilled and happy, we just need the three of us to be making music together.”

On February 25, the film will premiere on Amazon Music and Prime Video and be shown in select cinemas in Dalston, Edinburgh, Dundee, and Glasgow: Rio Cinema, Cameo, and Everyman.
